We are looking for a proactive leader with a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within the mining sector.

Role Overview:
The HSE Manager will lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental initiatives across mining operations, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. This role operates on a 4/2 roster, offering a strong work-life balance while playing a critical role in safeguarding people, assets, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislation and international HSE standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors
  • Monitor environmental performance and ensure adherence to sustainability targets
  • Prepare and present HSE reports and KPIs to senior management
  • Collaborate with operational teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily activities

Qualifications/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
  • NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent certification preferred
  • Extensive experience in HSE management within the mining or heavy industry sector
  • Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven, with a proactive and hands-on approach
