This is a fantastic opportunity to lead mine planning activities in a dynamic, high-performance environment with a FIFO (6 weeks on / 3 weeks off) schedule and competitive market salary plus performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Oversee Mine Plans: Create and manage both short- and long-term mine plans, ensuring they align with company objectives and production targets.
- Optimize Production Strategies: Implement innovative strategies to enhance ore recovery, operational efficiency, and overall site productivity.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with geology, mining operations, and maintenance teams to align planning objectives and ensure smooth operation flows.
- Monitor and Improve Mining Standards: Continuously assess mine designs and planning procedures, proposing adjustments to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data to forecast trends, identify risks, and create actionable reports to guide management in decision-making.

Key Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in mine planning within a gold mining environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, or MineSight) and advanced data analysis skills.
