Williams Mining Bio:

You’ve probably heard this a lot, but Williams Mining is not a traditional recruitment company. Based in Central London, we’re a small team of 4 who improve mining companies in Africa by sourcing great people from around the world. Honestly, none of us had any knowledge of mining prior to starting here. (Except Derek, the Director.) The company actually started out hiring Health & Safety professionals to eradicate incidents and fatalities on mine sites in Africa.

We’ve since grown and now oversee other important aspects of mining. Today, we work across 18 African countries and also Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Oman (random), recruiting for mining leadership.

One thing all 4 of us have in common is that we hate the traditional idea of recruitment; suits, formal atmosphere,inflated egos, the lot. We practice creativity, freedom, flexibility and trust.


Our office environment is pretty relaxed (you’ll hear a lot of discussions about football, Netflix, tavel, mining, sports, music, investments, life). Everyone is driven and self-motivated (micro-management, no).

The Recruitment Consultant:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with candidates and clients
  • Identifying and sourcing profiles for our clients’ requirements
  • Developing strategic concepts
  • Learning relentlessly about mining

Remuneration Package:

Basic Salary: £20k – £24K

+Excellent Commission Incentive

+Quarterly Bonus
